  there have been a few posts here over the past few days, from alan f, and others, on the lack of leadership in the wts.

  i hadn't really thought about that too deeply, but i think this is a significant point.

  we are at a genuine turning point in wts history, and my take on it is that it will do nothing to advance the organization.. the society is at this point essentially a reactionary organization.

  i had a conversation today with a person from new york who has had close contacts with inside contacts at bethel.

  a comment was volunteered to him that i found amazing if it provees to be true.

  the comment was about how many accused child molesters are on file at wt legal.

  Interesting thoughts Path. There would be one hell of a cry if 'all' the molestations were done by ELDERS! This slow action on the part of the org. is going to harm 'innocent' friends within the org. Many have been kept in the dark about. The org. will be waving the banner of apostasy from here on in as a distraction to the friends.

  Freeman, your correct. A personal acquaintance of mine belonged to secret society but kept it under wraps. He in turn was a personal friend of the Bush family. The Bush's belong to the 'Skull and Bones' society.

  The above friend was a camera man in Hollywood and he worked in the forties and fifties era. He was employed by Warner Bros. Hollywood lots were closed to the public while they were filming the moon landing.

  When one of the astronauts who supposedly returned from the moon was asked by a reporter what direction/position the Sun was, he couldn't answer the question. They quickly turned the camera off him.

  Pedophilia & Door to Door Work?

  if there getting this type of heat what should the witnesses expect when this subject matter becomes public?

  will not people become suspicious thinking that the next witness knocking at their door may be a pedophile?

  The newspapers in Boston are not letting up on the Churchs' allowance of pedophile priests and Cardinal. If there getting this type of heat what should the witnesses expect when this subject matter becomes public?

  Will not people become suspicious thinking that the next witness knocking at their door may be a pedophile? What public image will the witnesses have? The long range implications will be immeasuarable. By not attending to this problem the org. have created a severe problem. There is a difference for being persecuted for righteousness sake than for not practicing what you preach. "...do you the one teaching someone else, not teach yourself...? Romans 2:21

  If Jesus' disciples left him for saying you must 'eat of my flesh and drink of my blood,' image the back-lash the witnesses will have for not taking quick action against pedophilia? Many friends will be left holding the bag/quandary when asked this question. Actually, how many friends are aware of such practices within the org. since it has been hushed-up? There's going to be a lot of tap dancing on this one.

  larc's thread on coupons gave me this idea.. we all know coupons can save you a few dollars or more.

  but how do you save real money???.

  One way to save money is buy 'quality.' Buy only what you need. We live in a system that requires deep pockets. Happy spending or savings?

  Comments from the CO today

  i went to the meeting today to hear the public talk given by the visiting co. the talk dealt with jehovah's secret dwelling place and how we can all be taking advantage of "fleeing to safety" as it were, especially as the days are getting wicked as he mentioned.

  he brought out the dangers of listening to apostates (there were 2 people in the congregation who disassociated themselves recently, which automatically meant that they were apostates according to the co's comments).

  then he further elaborated on the fact that there were about 14,000 witnesses disfellowshipped in the usa each year and in canada 1400, about the size of a circuit assembly - also he said how terribly dishonorable it would be to be df'd and be as a dead person as it were (i felt so embarrassed as i am df'd) - during the talk he brought out two points which were extremely misleading if not outright lies: he said that just after the disaster of sept 11th, thousands of people "wanted to flee to security to the watchtower building and that they felt that they needed this security".

  a guy turned me down for a date

  i am so bummed yesterday i called this guy i know and asked him out, and he turned me down.

  not just a polite "i'm busy" but he let me know that his relationship with someone just ended last month and he needs time to recover, he said " i am taking the rest of the year off from dating" (sounded to me like "don't bother to ask again")i didn't even know that he had been seeing someone in a serious relationship (the last time i ran into him was in early december).

  we used to have had a few classes together and he always flirted with me.

  Hungry4life, hey, you never know. This guy may have had a bad day and your timing was off. Yes, there are pro's and con's.

  Let me share this recent experience my 37 year son had. His girl friend decided to leave him for another guy. He took it 'hard' because he has child from this young lady. Anyways, to soften the blow, he kept company with a fellow radio worker, they had a mutual understanding due to the above circumstances.

  After only a few weeks, his ex-girlfriend came back and wanted to pick-up her relationship with my son because her love affair didn't pan out as she hoped or planned. Are you getting the picture? Was my son suppose to drop everything in life and wait for her?

  She cried her tears out before my wife and my wife had to console her. By the way, my wife baby-sits for them. To make a long story short, they are separated and he's with his daughters. As to the other girl? She's just a friend. Let time be your friend in your situation. You never know. Events in life is like the truth, it's stranger than fiction.
